Writing Your Website Copy
The website writing process is typically the hardest part of the project, so I’ve created 3 resources to make it as painless as possible: Video Guides, Workbook, Templates.
As long as you’re writing in your own voice directly to your ideal client, there are many approaches to writing each page that can be effective. But if you want a template, I’ve given you one (or four, actually).
Video Guide
That’s what you’ll find on this page below. Watch the videos first! I give you a quick overview of the structure and purpose of your main website pages (Home Page, About Page, Services/Specialty Pages), and show you some examples of each.
Workbook
The workbook walks you through the process of writing your website copy, explaining the purpose of each page, structure, and prompts for writing your website copy.
Full disclaimer— there’s a lot of words in the workbook! That’s because I found clients really struggling with how to piece together and write their content. So I’ve laid out the sections that each page should have, and given you lots of prompts and examples for inspiration.
Templates
This is where you’ll actually write your page drafts. Each page template is divided into the sections you need to include that match up with the workbook. You may want to print the workbook out so you can follow along with the instructions as you write your drafts in the Google Docs Template.
