Counseling Works NYC’s Squarespace Website

Sabrina Tropper, founder of Counseling Works NYC, reached out to redesign her current website, wanting to refine her branding and client focus. While Sabrina’s private practice was consistently full, she was feeling the strain of burn out and hoping to increase her full-fee, best-fit clients. Through Sabrina’s workbook answers and our coaching calls, it was very clear to me who she best works with and the core of her therapeutic approach. This was a big aha moment for Sabrina, and with the clear mental picture of who she’s talking to in her website copy, we were able to translate this into a niche that her ideal clients would recognize (because while we know what attunement means, non-therapists likely don’t).

In the past, I've struggled so much with identifying my niche and your workbooks, plus the coaching conversations we had, actually helped me put into words what I had been thinking without even realizing it! I was honestly surprised by this.

As is always my goal, the website design reflects Sabrina’s own therapeutic presence. The therapeutic work she does primarily centers around self-acceptance, helping clients to stop feeling like they need to change themselves according to other peoples’ needs, and instead focus on changing their lives to fit who they are already are. We wanted visitors to feel calm, peaceful, spacious, and a sense of hope, while also feeling energized and encouraged to march to the beat of their own drum.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR NEW WEBSITE?

I love the design aesthetic so much! It really feels peaceful and hopeful (all the things that I told you I wanted) and brings in some of my personality at the same time. I love the firefly logo (as I'm sure you're aware! :) and the cursor is awesome. The layout is also really well organized and pleasing to the eye. I honestly couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR NEW WEBSITE WILL IMPACT YOUR BUSINESS?

On some level, I feel like it's already impacted my mindset about my business. This whole process has made me value my practice, including the business side, so much more. I also feel like it's going to help drive the right clients to my practice, while deterring the ones that I would prefer not to work with, like a really great filtering mechanism. Your website and coaching package was exactly what I needed. It's what I wished I had when I first started private practice!
